Un giornalista del Ningbo Daily ha intervistato Mario Razzanelli, candidato Sindaco per la lista civica “Firenze C’è”, durante la sua visita alla città di Ningbo, di cui è cittadino onorario, da giovedì 16 a sabato 18 aprile, per rafforzare i rapporti del patto d'amicizia con Firenze, contribuire agli scambi economici e culturali tra le due città .

Mario, who regards himself as Ningbonese, likes Huntun and Ningbo culture, and has been to Ningbo 21 times in 6 years, is the person who brought David sculpture to Ningbo and the sculpture of Master and general of Song Dynasty to Florence. This is Mr. Mario Razzanelli, the honorable citizen of Ningbo and member of the City Council of Florence. Yesterday, in Ningbo he told our journalist that he will run for the mayor of Florence.
Like most of people in Florence, he knew very little about Ningbo 6 years ago. He felt in love in this city the first time he came to Ningbo in October 2003.. Mario said like Florence, Ningbo is a city with beautiful scenery, pleasant weather and long history, and there is a handcraft map in the Florence city hall that dated to 15th century which shows clearly the trade line between Florence and Ningbo.
Ningbo has become his second hometown. “Florence will know Ningbo”, he told us at the end of his first trip to Ningbo. And then in the later years after that, he has made continuous effort to promote the economic and cultural communication between the two cities. In 2006, with his cooperation and efforts, the statue in bronze of the David was settled in Ningbo:. And in that occasion the city of Ningbo recognizing his efforts gave him the honorable citizenship. In 2008, the two cities signed a friendship agreement became the cities of the friendly relationship and “the sculpture of master and general” of Song Dynasty went to Florence and settled there. The fact that a lot of people in Florence already know Ningbo makes him very gratifies. Florentine people can see the news of Ningbo in their local newspaper frequently.
Mario said that in the global economic crisis, “China will play a very important role and will give an important contribute helping the world to deal with the crisis. Therefore it is very important to keep and develop the culture and economic relations between Florence and Ningbo. In spite of the crisis the consuming power in Ningbo and China is quite promising:”
